RIDING BACKGROUND
  • My parents rode me around the block on a “mini-bike” when I was 2 years old to get me to fall asleep. The passion for motorcycling never left me. Graduated to an Honda atc200s three wheeler when I was 7 and didn’t kill myself, and have ridden anything I could get my hands on ever since. Switched to street bikes and then back to dirt when I moved back to Savannah from Atlanta a few years back.
  • Have raced a couple of Hare Scrambles and Enduros, but mostly look forward to weekends at Highland Park/Durhamtown or private tracks with friends.
PERSONAL
  • Single but taken. Work in the economic/industrial development business and have been afforded the opportunity to do some really cool things both on and off of a motorcycle.
  • I love the outdoors, but even more so, I love outdoor adventure: hunting, fishing, biking, racing; heading 2,000 miles away with a bunch of guys you barely know in search of a dream, a place at the finish line, and one heck of a story? Sign me up!
WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING HERE
  • Ultimately, I would like to race the 1000 myself, and you have to start somewhere.
  • I am here to do whatever I can do to see these guys across the finish line in good health and good spirits.
  • Every race team needs a young guy to keep the old guys from forgetting things and wandering off in the desert somewhere.
HOW AM I PREPARING
  • Familiarizing myself with the Baja landscape and mapping
  • Learning as much as possible from other people’s experiences/mistakes.
  • Continuing my Crossfit based workout regimen.
  • Weekly tequila, tecate, and taco tasting.
