RACING GOALS:

Compete in and finish the 2010 Baja 1000
Top 5 this year in SETRA enduros
Win a hare scramble in SORCS
Improve my fitness and aggression when racing this year
Compete in several more STRA Trials events and win in the intermediate class.

WHY I'M RACING THE 2010 BAJA 1000:

My DBBL riding buddies started talking about making the trip to Baja but I didn't really believe it would happen. Turns out they are fully committed. And they are NOT leaving me behind
After being one of the approximately 30 people in Atlanta who saw the Dust to Glory movie in a real movie theatre, I was hooked on the idea.
It will be a dirt bike riding adventure of a lifetime.
I have been told it is too much for a couple of amateur eastern enduro riders to pull off.

WHAT I'M DOING TO PREPARE FOR THE 2010 BAJA 1000:

Flew to Baja for the 2009 race and worked with the famous Mag 7 Pit crews to get a better understanding of the race and logistics.
Riding as much as possible.
Exercise and fitness program underway.
Looking in the attic for what I can sell to afford the trip. hahaha
